Frequently Asked Questions

WHY US INSTEAD OF AGODA, BOOKING.COM OR EXPEDIA?

Unlike the online travel agents (OTAs), we customize holiday packages based on your interests and preferences. Our travel specialists have traveled to the resorts we recommend to our clients, to ensure they maintain our standards and to provide you with a first-hand insight. Being a travel agent, we are also able to offer better rates than the Online Travel Agents.

Furthermore, we make the necessary arrangements for your transportation from the airport to your final destination, meal plans and any other services that you might want to book.

Some of the online travel agents do not include the fees and taxes to make their offers more attractive and many clients end up paying hidden charges at the resort. Our quotations are inclusive of all the fees and taxes and there are no hidden charges. Our goal is to ensure that you have nothing to worry about when you arrive to Maldives.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS THAT I CAN USE?

We have a secure online payment gateway and accept all the major credit cards; American Express, VISA & Master Card. We also accept bank transfers (for bookings with a lead time of at least 7 working days)

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE BEST RESORT?

If you don’t have a specific resort on mind, please contact one of our travel specialists and let them know your travel budget, interests, preferences and whether you are celebrating a special occasion. They will recommend the best options for you.

HOW DO I GET TO THE RESORTS

Transportation in Maldives is something that you must consider before you book your holidays. The Maldives is one of the world's most geographically dispersed countries and each resort is located on a separate island. The resorts arrange transportation by Speedboat, Domestic Flight or Seaplane.

Speedboat

The resorts closer to the airport (Ibrahim Nasir International Airport) usually arranges transportation by speedboat. Most of these resorts arrange transfers based on international Arrival and Departure flight timings and few resorts have a fixed transfer schedule.

Seaplane

If you are travelling to resorts and islands far from the International Airport, they are likely to arrange transfers by seaplane. The seaplanes in Maldives operate only during day light hours (usually between 0600 – 1530 hours). If your arrival flight arrives in the evening it is advised to book a transit hotel nearby for the night and catch a seaplane the next day morning.

The seaplane schedule is prepared based on the international arrival and departure flights and is confirmed only one day prior to the date. In such cases, the resorts will inform your seaplane check-in time to your transit hotel. The usual waiting time (between check-in and take off) is 45 – 90 minutes.

 Domestic Flight

If you are traveling to any of the following atolls it is likely that your resort will arrange transfers by domestic flight. Scheduled flights to these airports operate throughout the day and the resorts will pick you up from the domestic airport by speedboat

IS SOMEONE GOING TO MEET US AT THE AIRPORT?

Our airport representatives will meet you upon your arrival on the arrival hall and they will escort you to the speedboat or seaplane/domestic terminals. Just in case you cannot locate our representative, please proceed to our information desk at counter #32 (located in the arrival hall)

WHAT IS THE BEST TRANSIT HOTEL TO BOOK IF I CHOOSE A SEAPLANE RESORT AND ARRIVING TO THE MALDIVES IN THE EVENING?

We recommend our clients to stay at a hotel in Hulhumalé which is an island located adjacent to the airport. Public transportation is available (by bus) to travel between the islands. It costs USD2 per person and takes about 5 minutes.

There are several small hotels and guesthouses in Hulhumale' and they are very affordable. Hulhumalé has many of the same facilities that the resorts in Maldives are acclaimed for including a white sandy beach, water sports & spa.

WHAT IS THE BEST SEASON TO TRAVEL TO MALDIVES?

The Maldives provides warm, tropical weather all year round and its monsoon climate displays very little change despite the fact that there are two very distinct seasons; Hulhangu and Iruvai.

The Hulhangu Monsoon (wet season) is considered as the period from May to November with frequent rain showers that generally last for few minutes. It is extremely likely visitors will experience long hours of bright sunshine despite the rain.

The Iruvai Monsoon (dry season) begins at the end of November or beginning of December and runs throughout April providing the most sun. The Maldives experiences an influx of visitors especially from Europe during this season. With that being said, please note that you might experience slight rain showers once or twice a month however it is minimal compared to the Hulhangu Monsoon.
